Roshni Pramanik

roshni

On May 19 WINGS hosted a seminar with Roshni Pramanki.

Roshni is a risk & safety management professional with a great passion in communicating popular science. She has also been proactive in volunteering for causes. She comes with an international multidisciplinary background in Social Sciences, Engineering and military training with the Indian Air Force. She has worked with communities and government authorities in India.  She is  currently affiliated as a PhD student to the Division of Risk Management and Societal Safety  at LTH (Lund University). She also works as a freelance Consultant for private and public sector organizations in Sweden. So what is it to be a woman in diverse cultures and workplaces across countries, sectors and organizations? What are the challenges and opportunities? Roshni shared her story on May 19!

Due to her passion in communication, Roshni has also won several titles, including the 3 Minutes Thesis Competition and the Diversity Challenge. She participated in the 3 Minute Competition consecutively for 2 years here at Lund University and has been been awarded the 2nd Prize for her performance in 2016. On May 19, Roshni also shared her strategies on how to communicate effectively on a complex topic in a limited time, with or without props!

Roshni managed through her interactive session and her metaphors and allegories to keep the interest of the participants. The seminar was much appreciated by the participants that could share their views during the whole session and a bigger demand for common seminars is broadly expressed.
