Reflection on a journey of a female researcher in Jordan: personal perspective

The seminar with Professor Nihad Almasri was held on 28th March, 2018, 12:00 – 13:00, at BMC Dora Jacobson D1513c, Lund.

Dr. Almasri is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physiotherapy and the Dean of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan. She has a Masters of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with Concentrations in Neuromuscular and Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA, and a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA, USA. Her research focus is on children and adolescents with cerebral palsy. Dr. Almasri has adapted and implemented the Jordanian version of the Cerebral Palsy Follow-Up Program (CPUP), a Swedish population-based follow-up program and quality register for individuals with cerebral palsy. Dr. Almasri will discuss her research and share her career experiences as a woman in academia in Jordan.
