On April 18th WINGS hosted a lunch seminar with Emma Hammarlund.

Emma is particularly interested in why animals diversified on Earth. During her talk at Wings, Emma spoke about her Eureka moments as a geobiologist (M.Sc. in Biology och Ph.D. i Geochemistry) when exploring the dawn of animal life. She also shared the moment when Ishe realized that she carry implicit gender biases. She described work in progress aimed at minimizing the damage my biases may have on students and scientific results.

The seminar has been much appreciated among researchers that participated.
