Movie screening & debate (6-9 March, 2021)

Welcome to watch the movie Picture a Scientist and attend a panel discussion organized by WINGS.

Sign up here (https://forms.gle/2UCpn9SkXPpGzEeJ9) before the 2nd of March. The dates for the screening are 6-9 March. In the evening of the 9th you are also welcome to join a panel discussion on Zoom (more information will follow).

PICTURE A SCIENTIST (https://www.pictureascientist.com/) chronicles the groundswell of researchers who are writing a new chapter for women scientists. Biologist Nancy Hopkins, chemist Raychelle Burks, and geologist Jane Willenbring lead viewers on a journey deep into their own experiences in the sciences, ranging from brutal harassment to years of subtle slights. Along the way, we encounter scientific luminaries - who provide new perspectives on how to make science itself more diverse, equitable, and open to all.
