The L'Oréal Unesco For Women in Science award in Sweden, supported by Sweden's young academy, aims at highlighting promising women in the early stages of their research career in science (including medicine), technology and mathematics and creating role models for future generations.

The L'Oréal Unesco For Women in Science Prize is awarded to pay attention to, encourage and reward female researchers who have demonstrated great potential in science (including medicine), physics, technology or mathematics, whose work contributes to sustainable development and solving the greatness of mankind challenges.
The award rewards two promising female researchers for the quality of their research and development towards independence, and aims to encourage researchers to pursue a career in science.
The prize is 150,000 kronor per person and the prize winners will also be invited to a one-year mentorship program organized by Sweden's young academy.
